SE Regional Picnic

Today's the day for the International Shiloh Shepherd Club's SE Regional picnic. Lots of food, fun and games too. Yipppeee!

We get to run free all day on 10 fenced acres! Like a dream come true for us Shilohs.

And we're off----Shilohs everywhere, at least 20 of us! Boys, girls and puppies too...all getting along and having a blast.

Oh my, a kiss from a dark and lovely girl at the watering hole..

Let's go boys! Last one up the hill is a rotten egg.

Just a quick nap and I'll be right with you again.

Here I come. The weather is beautiful and everyone is so nice. Wait for me guys!

Wanna play "chuck-it"?

I'm soooo tired. Is it possible to sleep standing up?

Okay, one more time----whoo-hooo!!
What a fun time. Can't wait for the next picnic in the fall.

SE Region Picnic

Oh boy, in 5 more days I get to go to our Southeast Region Shiloh Picnic.

There will be a lot of my Shiloh buddies there to play with, and lots of food and games.
I'll be reporting on it when we get back. Maybe I'll even get to taste some hot dogs on the grill!

Green Grass and Flowers!

Yellow Forsythia, green grass, daffodils,

Birds singing, mowers mowing, the smell of critters moving around,

Gentle breezes, open windows, hanging out on the porches,

I love Spring!

Herding Lesson #2

Oh boy, my 2nd herding lesson .

I remember this lady---her name is Susan Rhoades and she's my trainer. She's nice!

Here we go. Look Ma, no leash!

Can you tell that I'm enjoying this?

Ok----I want THAT one.

It's fun to watch the other dogs herd, too.

Oh no you don't! Come back here sheepies.

All done for today. I am kinda tired out.

Good Boy Wolf!!

Spring is in the air !!

Spring is almost here! The grass is turning green and we saw a robin and a woodchuck.

The air is still cool, but I like it like that.

Makes me want to run and play!

Now a little break from the activities.

Did someone say ball??

Here I am with my 14 year old friend Zac, who is throwing the tennis ball for me (you have to look closely to see it----follow my gaze).
Yup, Spring is just around the corner!

Fun at Pawsabilities

We spent Saturday in Harrisburg, PA. at the "Pawsabilites" show.

I had a great time with my other Shiloh buddies Willow and Adirondak. We had a Shiloh booth, and tried to be good ambassadors for our breed.

I met a lot of people and some incredible looking dogs----including 2 Great Danes that I had to look up to (I'm not used to that!).

Most folks who saw me thought I was an over-sized German Shepherd Dog, which gave Mom a chance to help educate them about Shiloh Shepherds.

After all the excitement and activity, I slept all the way home without a peep. Good time!

HERDING LESSONS

Well, today's the day I get to take some actual lessons on how to herd these sheepies.

Dad and I check out the pen.

Gotta wait my turn. If I do well, I won't let it go to my (already big) head.

I want the one with the blue spot on it!

Yep, this is definitely something I like to do. This time the instructor just let me have fun---next time we'll learn some control.

Mom's Favorite Picture

Mom says she loves this shot of me......

Why is it that the first thing a Shiloh does when he gets out in the snow is to make sure he gets some on his nose?

Blizzard of 2009

It's here, it's finally here ! Six inches of white, wonderful snow.

Nice, very nice.

Yippeee, whoo-hoo, can't get enough of it. (Mom got so excited, she accidently put this picture in twice and can't figure out how to delete it.)

Gotta rest a minute.

Yahoo! This is the life.

Winter Dreams of Woolies

It may appear that I am sleeping---but I assure you I'm not.

Nope, see--- I was just resting my eyes.

Actually, I've been just hangin' around day-dreaming.............

..... because one week from today I get to take herding lessons. Yipee---woolies.

Mom says I have to listen up real good and do what the instuctor says so I can continue to play with the sheep. Also, I'd like to get the 2nd leg of my Herding Capability Test. After that---more woolies!
